1,000 Members Baby!

On June 26th, 2009 Data Center Pulse met a major milestone in our push to influence the industry. We broke the 1,000 member mark! This has been a long time coming. We had almost 2 people a day signing up for DCP since we started on September 13, 2008. We had a press release and Data Center Journal picked it up first.  They have always been supportive of our efforts and I'd like to publicly thank them for it.

Data Center Pulse Community Breaks 750!

Today, Data Center Pulse hit another milestone by reaching 750 members in just 178 days. We are close to reaching our goal of 1,000 members. The target is to complete this before Summer/09.

Data Center Pulse Community Breaks 500!

1/1/2009 DCP Membership breaks 500!

Today the Data Center Core membership broke 500 members representing over 300 customer companies in 26 countries in 22 different industries. The membership base is growing rapidly.

The Data Center Pulse: INDUSTRY group that was started on November 20, 2008 has already hit 360 members in less that 53 days.

As our parents used to say, we should shoot for the moon. Our original goal was to hit 1,000 members by the end of 2008. We were short of that goal but with the core and industry membership we are close to that goal now.

With the momentum that DCP is gaining through efforts such as the DCP Global Summit and the industry independent efficiency test, “The Chill Off 2”, we expect to meet 1,000 core members by Summer, 2009.

Please share the DCP vision with your industry peers and encourage them to join either the Data Center Pulse core group or Data Center Pulse: INDUSTRY through LinkedIN.

Data Center Pulse: INDUSTRY group created

Since the start of the Data Center Pulse on September 13, 2009, we have had to turn away hundreds of very talented and passionate datacenter professionals because they didn’t meet the DCP membership criteria. This ranged from reporters to CEOs. We decided to open up a parallel group that would be be open to all professionals in the Data Center Industry.

On November 20, 2008 Data Center Pulse: INDUSTRY group was created on LinkedIN. Over 50 people joined on the first day. The goal is to have an easy reach into the general DC industry population. The DCP Core membership, DCP board of Directors and upcoming DCP Technical Advisory Board wanted to easily interface with these professionals yet keep the anonymity of the member base.

Please share this group with your peers in the Data Center Industry.

Data Center Pulse: The Community

This weekend I created a new group on Linkedin to bring the global datacenter community together.  It is called Data Center Pulse.  DCP is an exclusive group of global datacenter owners, operators and users. It already includes many from some of the largest datacenters in the world. DCP will track the pulse of the industry through discussion and debate with the goal of influencing the future of the datacenter.

No vendor consultants or individuals with primary roles in a sales, marketing or business development capacity will be allowed to join the group. Members must participate, or be responsible for, one or more of the following within their own company.
